If you still book by phone, text, Instagram DMs, or a Google Form, this replaces that work. If you already use Acuity or Square Appointments, this is the same idea of a booking link — except it knows you drive. I still book by phone, texts, or a Google Form. Why switch?

Do existing appointments get moved?
No. Once a job is booked, it stays. The software does not reshuffle your day after the fact. It only controls which times the next customer is allowed to see.
What if a customer is far from the rest of my day?
They still get times — just not the ones that sit between jobs on the other side of town. The open slot stays available for someone nearby. The farther customer can book a morning or a day when you are already in their area.
Do you take a cut of job payments?
No. Customers never pay Calendar Compact for the job. You collect on Square, Venmo, cash, or whatever you already use. The subscription is only for the booking software.

Calendar Compact texts from cal-compact.com for booking confirmations, day-before reminders, and cancellations. On the last booking step they type a mobile number and may check this box (it starts unchecked). Booking still works if they skip it — then we email only, no automated texts. No marketing blasts.
